    THIS  PROGRAM  HAS HELPED PITCHERS AROUND THE COUNTRY  GAIN AN AVERAGE OF 6.7 MILES PER HOUR IN JUST 12 WEEKS.  SOME PITCHERS IMPROVED 12+ MPH IN 9 MONTHS.

      THE VELOCITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IS A COMPLETE PITCHING AND THROWING PROGRAM THAT COVERS  EVERYTHING FROM THE FUNCTIONAL WARM-UP, INTENSIVE TUBING EXERCISES, WEIGHTED BALL TRAINING, ALL THE WAY TO BULLPEN SETS, AND INCLUDES THE MOST TALKED ABOUT NEW METHODOLOGY IN PITCHING TODAY: THE “BACKSHAPING” PITCHING PROGRESSION. BACKSHAPING BEGINS AT THE MOST CRITICAL MOMENT THE RELEASE AND WORKS BACK FROM THERE ONE PIECE AT A TIME.

               

    THERE ARE THREE MAJOR MECHANICAL CONSIDERATIONS TO PITCHING:

1.        POSTURAL EFFICIENCY      

       HELPS YOU THROW WITH MORE VELOCITY AND WILL GIVE   YOU BETTER COMMAND OF THE STRIKE ZONE. MAINTAINING A DYNAMIC AND PRODUCTIVE POSTURE WITH A HIP TO SPINE  RELATIONSHIP WITH HEAD AND EYES BEING A CHECK POINT. IF THIS IS DONE WRONG IT CAUSES A DISCONNECT WHICH IS THE NUMBER 1 CAUSE OF INJURY. IT PLAYS HAVOC WITH COMMAND AND CONSISTENCY. IT AFFECTS ENDURANCE AND RECOVERY.  IT IS THE MOST COMMON MECHANICAL FLAW IN YOUNG   PITCHERS.   

                                       

2.        ARM ACTION EFFICIENCY 

       THE ARM NEVER STOPS OR PAUSES EVEN FOR A MILLISECOND. THE ARM WORKS IN TANDEM WITH THE     BODY. A PITCHER MUST GET A SCAPULAR LOAD OR PINCH, THEN TORQUE  OR GET AS MUCH SEPARATION BETWEEN HIS FRONT HIP AND BACK SHOULDER. HIS ELBOWS  MUST BE CLOSING AT RELEASE.

                                                      

3.        NEUROMUSCULAR EFFICIENCY

         TEMPO, RHYTHM, AND SYNCHRONIZATION, IF PUT TOGETHER CORRECTLY THIS  CREATES A TIGHT LINKAGE  BETWEEN BODY PARTS. TEMPO IS INDIVIDUAL AND UNIQUE, A PITCHER MUST EXPERIMENT TO FIND THEIR   PERSONAL IDEAL. MOST PITCHERS TEMPO IS TOO SLOW
